Single variety wines
In the PERIPÉCIA brand, each wine is the irreverent expression of a single grape variety, expressing its characteristics in a pure and authentic way, in a direct connection between the essence of the variety and the terroir where it was developed. There are six wines from four grape varieties, one Portuguese and three French: the Arinto stands out for its vibrant acidity, which over the years evolves into mature and complex aromas; the Pinot Noir, elegant, combines aromatic complexity with soft tannins; the Chardonnay offers enveloping notes of vanilla and tropical fruit. And finally, the Merlot, smooth and round, presents distinct notes of green peppers. Drinking these wines is always a unique experience.
PERIPÉCIA ARINTO "GREAT RESERVE"
With 100% Arinto grapes, the harvest takes place in mid-September. After destemming and gentle pressing, the must is cooled to 10ºC. Shortly after it begins to ferment , it is transferred to 500-litre French oak barrels, where fermentation ends and where it remains on fine lees for around a year and a half, with periodic "batonnages". Bottling takes place in the second spring following the harvest.
A yellow-coloured white wine with an intense floral aroma. The flavour is unusual, reminiscent of roses and tropical fruits. With a good body, it finishes with a pleasant acidity, which reveals the grape variety. It goes well with Asian cuisine, slightly spicy dishes and oily fish. It should be consumed at 12ºC.
